Balancing proper growth of aquatic plants is difficult and requires an intricate balance of all elements in the environment (water quality, aquatic plant fertilization and nutrients, Co2 and lighting). With closed environments, such as the recreated nature in our aquariums, even small adjustments in the aquarium can upset the balance and cause stress for aquatic plants. Stress disturbs growth and effects the overall health of the ecosystem.

Plant hormones are produced by aquatic plants to help in growth and health, most of these hormones are produced inside of new buds or shoots, young leaves and roots. Once aquatic plants become stressed, it causes the growth to slow down, primarily because the natural production of these hormones is stunted. Therefore, restoring the nutrition balance within your planted tank is essential in improving the overall condition of the aquatic plants. Green Gain supplies these hormones to supplement the lost hormones from stress.

Major causes of aquatic plant stress include: not enough nutrients (insufficient aquatic plant fertilization), a lack of Co2 and water quality deterioration (waiting too long to change water)

Dosage:

After performing a water change, add one drop of Green Gain for every 10 liters (2.5 gallons) of aquarium water. Adjust according to plant growth, for example when plants are under stress from trimming add 2-3 drops for every 10 liters (2.5 gallons) of aquarium water.
